I'm Not Obnoxious...

So, I've had a little too much fun taking pictures for today's entry, so be prepared for a photoblog.  However, I'm staying at a friend's until Friday, so there will at least be some new scenery.  At first, I was told that my pictures looked a little too "emo" so we went for something a little more fun.  I couldn't decide which picture was more awesome, so you get both.

As for the turtle, I'm not entirely sure why I'm pointing at it, other than because she said something about it roughly 2 seconds before the pictures were taken.

Otherwise, it's been a mostly uneventful day.  Some good and some bad.  For the good, our kitchen is very close to finally being done.  We have a floor, a ceiling fan, painted walls, a painted ceiling, top and bottom cabinets, a counter, a microwave, a stove and a sink.  However, we still need a pantry cabinet, the dishwasher, a faucet, a garbage disposal and a new window.  Getting close though!

As for the bad, and oh-so-frustrating, apparently I don't have a job after all.  After dragging their feet for weeks on end, I've been told that the district manager vetoed my hire because I won't be around long enough.  Sounds like headquarters will be getting a call from me some time soon.  And now, this means I don't have any income this summer, so some of my plans may no longer happen.  Definitely frustrating.  On that note, (and yes, I'm begging shamelessly; I'm really that desperate) please let me know if you need a baby-sitter or any other odd job done.
